Comedy Slide Show is a multimedia variety show that allows comedians and musicians the use of graphics, videos, pictures, and websites to enhance their sets. This Slide Show’s headliner is comedian Jarrod Harris. http://www.jarrodharris.com/bio-press/ Jarred’s appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and TBS’s Lopez Tonight, as well as performing all over the country for the last almost a decade, as well as lending his voice acting talents to the characters of the internet comedy series Action Figure Therapy, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5OWMMvsGeA as well as building a series of Mountain Bike trails on the land he owns in Georgia, which doesn’t have anything to do with the comedy show but it’s pretty cool. https://www.facebook.com/jarrod.harris.921?fref=ts
Johnny Gray, the shows creator says, “Jarrod is one of my favorite comedians. I’ve seen him perform many times and it’s always different, he’s a pleasure to watch because it’s evident that he isn’t too concerned with his prepared material, he’s in the moment, and that works well for him because regardless of using the prepared material he already knows to be funny, he’s just funny.”
Opening, comedically, for Jarrod, will be Lace Larrabee, Bridget Callahan, and Johnny Gray. Lace Larrabee, http://www.lacelarrabee.com/, is not only a very talented comedian, she’s also an actress, model, and former beauty queen. Her set will include pictures, video’s, and stories of her days on the beauty queen circuit. Fun fact about Lace, she’s also Jarrod’s girlfriend. They quite frequently travel this nation, performing for it’s citizens, and sometimes make hilarious comments on stage about theirrelationship.
Local writer and comedian, Bridget Callahan, http://www.networkedblogs.com/blog/bridget_callahan_is_your_best_friend
@ 8pm
will be giving a commentary on the inspirational posters that appear on the walls of many offices. Describing the inaccuracies of their motivational intentions.
Johnny Gray www.parallellogram.com will be handling the interview portion of the show, “my favorite aspect of the show is the opportunity to provide a little edutainment. So I’ll be doing interviews with people from the community that are doing things that the people in the community need to know about, like Joshua Prindiville.”
Joshua Prindiville https://www.youtube.com/user/jjp3058 is a local filmmaker that has spent the last several years working on a documentary about the efforts to stop Titan Cement from moving their business to this area and he’s recently been commissioned to complete a documentary about the 2010 BP oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
Clips from his films will be shown and the toxic relationship between corporate business, our government, and our environment will be discussed.
Another new addition to the program will be musical acts. This particular show features the rock duo, Astro Cowboy. http://astrocowboy.bandcamp.com/
The shockingly young compared to how much talent they’ve acquired with their short time on this earth, band will be accompanied by Video Jockey, MXL PXL, who will be providing sensory stimulating video visuals.
Hosting the show and controlling the media will be the only human to ever physically get sucked into the internet, Internet Carl. Carl used to be a human like us, but through a series of unfortunate events and ethernet cord plugged into his butt, (don’t ask him why, he’ll get angry and say it’s personal) his body now exists in the internet. So Internet Carl appears on the screen in video form, he provides all the media and guidance throughout the evening.
Here’s some video examples of a Parallellogram produced comedy show of the same style for
the Cucalorus film festival’s Visual/Sound/Walls program:
