Be a part of the show!
Saturday Nutt Live is a community viewing of Saturday Night Live in which you–the members of the community.
SNL will be screening on an LCD and a HD video projector, and heard through a surround sound system. During every commercial break we turn the live broadcast’s sound down and the stage lights up to shine on the talent in attendance, performing original sketches, showing a digital short, and presenting a featured musical guest. If you’d like to be a featured writer, performer, or filmmaker here’s how to submit:
Send us an email toSaturdayNuttLive@nuttstreet.com
If you’re a sketch writer… please include your script, and keep the performance to no longer than 5 minutes. If we feel like your sketch has potential you’ll be invited to one of our weekly rehearsals. Our comedy writers are the backbone of the show, so if your sketch is selected we’ll credit you on the website and at the opening of the show, making a big deal about you and your talents.
If you’re an actor… please include a link to pictures of yourself (Facebook is fine), or a video that shows your acting abilities, and a resume, if you have one. When we’re performing a sketch that contains a character that matches up with you, we’ll send you a script and invite you to audition.
If you’re a musician… please include an attachment or link to your music. Remember it doesn’t take much sound to be real loud in Nutt Street, so the more scaled down version of your act the better. You’ll have an opportunity to perform two songs during the show (just like the broadcast’s musical guests) plus an option to play songs prior to, if you’d like. If selected you’ll be the featured musical guest for that week.
If you’re a filmmaker… please include a link to your short. If selected you’ll be the featured comedy short of that particular week, and we’ll make a big deal about it on the website and at the opening of the show.
Have fun being creative!
